Portsmouth to France by ferry - ferry timetables - foreign exchange - euros

There is a BT pay telephone in the Travel Centre, but for mobile phone owners the signal strengthis excellent locally, as most of the main mobile phone service providers have repeater masts in the vicinity.

There is also a Royal Mail post box, with regular daily collections. This is not actually in the Travel Centre itself, but it is only a thirty second walk away, and any of our staff can direct you to it easily.

The public conveniences are situated on the northern end of the Travel Centre building.

There is a Mother and Baby Changing facility available in the main Terminal Building - our staff will be happy to direct you if necessary.

This is an initiative launched earlier this year (2009) by the staff of InterCash, together with the local RNLI fund raisers, which is raising much-appreciated funds for the lifeboat service.

The staff keep a cabinet of books regularly topped up with top-name previous best sellers - second hand, but all in excellent condition - and travelers are free to help themselves. If you then wish to make a small donation to RNLI, they will be very grateful.

For travelers who arrive unexpectedly early, in those long hours between scheduled sailings, the cafe in the main Terminal Building is usually open, but there are also vending machines in the Travel Centre, supplying a range of hot and cold drinks, plus light snacks, sweets and crisps.

There is also a vending machine selling cigarettes, though travelers are reminded that the Travel Centre building itself is a non-smoking area.

For passengers inside the Travel Centre there are two wide screens, which display the latest news on ferry arrivals and departures, together with other useful information.

Sadly, though, no Sky Sports!

There are trained first aiders on duty at the Ferry Port all the hours it is open, and there is also a defibulator unit available - in emergency, please contact the main security window at the Terminal Building, or notify the duty staff on the InterCash counter, who will phone across to the main building for you, saving valuable time.
