DASTARDLY DOINGS ARE NOT FAIR EXCHANGE!
What you see is not necessarily what you get - let's hope the authorities eventually get around to stopping these "cheating" practices ...
Thursday 22 April 2010

I've had several complaints, both verbally and via e-mails, about practices being adopted by some of our would-be competitors around the area - practices that I'm pretty sure are either illegal, or bordering on being so.

Basically, at least one well-known travel agency's bureaux de change are advertising their selling rates for Euros and Dollars in their windows, rates that are sometimes above what we are advertising on that particular day.

Fair enough, if their basic rates were better than ours, but unless you read what is usually VERY small print - assuming it's been included in the day's sign at all - it's only when you get inside and go up to the counter that you find the rate on display is for a minimum transaction amount, usually £1,000 or 1,000 euros or dollars. The basic rate, for a couple of hundred quid is much lower.

Now, we too offer higher rates for bigger transaction amounts, but the difference is that the headline rate we offer and display on our boards and websites is the BASIC rate - in other words, it's the LOWEST we offer, and if you take a look at even our £500 rate, you will generally find it's not only better than the competition's £1,000 rate, it's probably better than the best they'll offer you, even if you're changing up several thousand pounds!

So do be careful - and remember, at InterCash we'll match and/or even better any genuine local rate, whether selling or buying, and our Buy Back rates are miles better than anything else available out there anyway ...

PLEASE NOTE: We've only just started putting this section together, so there may be a few teething troubles for the first day or so - any problems with links, images not loading, etcetera, should be reported to us via the Webmaster e-mail link on the left of each page.
Thank you.

DASTARDLY DOINGS
What you see in the window ain't necessarily what you're going to get ...

COUNTING THE COSTS AND PASSING THE BUCK
So who, if anyone, should be paying out for the losses caused by six days of no flying?

A COMPLETE ASH OF THINGS?
So was the flight ban really necessary, or are we now slaves to the Health and safety monsters?

MAKE THEM PLAY BY THE "GOOD" BOOK
Don't waste your money on cheap travel insurance - but make the insurers play by the good book ...
